DDOS or Distributed Denial of Service is a cyber attack of malicious nature where the perpetrator sends a high amount of unwanted traffic to a website or user. This causes a user or group of users to be unable to access an internet service due to the attack, the DDOS causing the service resources to be expended in a quick amount of time. Some DDOS acts also employ malicious software or malware, further increasing the tenacity of the attack.
