Blade and Soul Gold: Newbie Warlock Guide Part 1

The Warlock class has just been recently released in the NA and EU Blade and Soul servers via the Unchained major patch. People are still looking at how to play the class properly, so I’ve written below a few basic things I took with me since playing in the Chinese Servers. Be mindful that these are just basics and folks are sure to come up with more interesting builds and rotations as the months go by.

When playing as a Warlock, there will be two different marks that will appear above the target’s head, here’s what they are:

BRAND

blade and soul gold, buy blade and soul gold 2A branded target will receive additional damage from certain skills and your Ravage will be usable on them.

Blade and Soul Gold: Brand Appliers

  • Posted Image Bounded Field
  • Posted Image Border Slash

Blade and Soul Gold: Brand-Specialized Skills

  • Posted Image Open
  • Posted Image Spirit Surge

Mark

blade and soul gold, buy blade and soul gold 1A marked target will let Dimensional Bullet become insta-cast as long as the debuff persists.

Blade and Soul Gold: Mark Appliers

  • Posted Image Rupture
  • Posted Image Awakened Rupture (Usable only on targets affected by Spiritualize )
  • Posted Image Ruin (Offensive Familiar )
  • Posted Image Raging Spirit

Blade and Soul Gold: Mark Extenders

Rotations

Living in a country far from the physical servers of the NA and EU, these rotations were created by folks with high latency around the 200-250ms mark. It’s easy to adjust accordingly to your native ping. Remember to check if you are spec’d for some of the rotations down below. These also assume that everything is on CD and take into account openers.
